On a morning born of mystic dreamscapes
In a land where angels reign as queens and kings
I was walking on a forest path of quiet expectations
When my eyes observed a most peculiar thing
As I strolled, I realized that I’d been followed
By a purple cloud with stardust lights of white
It rose above the canopy then it rested on the path
And morphed into a vision of delight
A Fae girl of the most divine persuasion
With beauty of the kind that’s seldom seen
She wore a gown of pink chiffon and flowers
A lover I once knew inside my dreams
Her skin was whiter than the finest porcelain
With just the slightest blush upon her cheeks
Her satin shoes were those of ballerinas
Her voice flowed like a melody when she speaks
Her eyes were pools of bluest shades of mischief
Her hair was platinum blonde of silken strands
She wore a crown of woven gold adorned with crystal gems
I felt she held my soul inside her hands
Her scent was of a vague intoxication
Familiar to a fault I surely missed
Her lips were pink as perfect heirloom roses
The kind that any lover would die to kiss
But most intriguing were her wings of satin
At least, that’s how I viewed them at the moment
Swaying oh so gently with a motion all their own
Lifting her off the ground every so often
And then I saw her clearly through remembrance
I recognized the time we shared as one
Our past returned as embers burned
In tender circumstance
A future that had sadly come undone
I knew you once inside another lifetime
You visited me deep inside my dreams
Your name is Sera, and we once were lovers
It’s strange, what seems to be, is what it seems
I told you I’d return, don’t you remember?
A love like ours was written in a poem
You read it to me as I slept beside you
I told you we would never be alone
That was long ago when I was younger
But you’ve not aged a day in all these years
I waited but the loneliness consumed me
My writings yielded poetry mixed with tears
Now my world’s so different from our romance
I have a wife and life to call my own
Some property and a legacy for my family
A portrait of success and happy home
And then she took my hands and came in closer
She held me, and she said she didn’t care
Pressed her lips to mine and kissed me senseless
Our tongues caressing, floating in the air
I felt the power pulsing from her wingspan
Lifting up her gown above her knees
She fluttered faster as she cried to Venus
Glowing in the moment, she released
And with a wave, she opened up a portal
I felt my body fading back to stardust
Moving ever closer to a doorway of betrayal
Into her realm of pleasure, love, and lust
Her body was a heavenly inclination
With waves of pleasure morning to the night
An endless circle of intoxications
Forever seeking pleasure and delight
And in that moment, gravity prevailed
We fell back down to earth and realized
The time between us could not be recaptured
I couldn’t live a new life built on lies
She said, forever and a day, she’d love me
And come to visit every now and then
I said that she will always be my favorite fantasy
My muse of wonder for my page and pen
And with a kiss, she vanished into twilight
It’s strange, the day flew by without me seeing
I wandered back into my angel kingdom
And felt myself a better human being
Tempted by a Fae who was my lover
In days gone by, was never to return
The mysteries of the soul remain as history unfolds
As love’s a bridge so difficult to burn
