TAKE MY HAND

Take my hand and I will lead you
Down a path to your desires
To a place of falling freely
So protected and appreciated
Mind and soul and body lifted
Pure intentions overwhelming
Inspiration flowing passions
Rising sun and moon and stars
Forever rose of greatest beauty
To be guarded of great value
To be nurtured with immense feelings
To be cherished as precious gems
To be loved

The thoughts you share are priceless visions
Words as diamonds
Of darkness and light
Filter through prisms of wishes
In amazing realms of unlimited
Consciousness
Where these prisms split your words
Into lovely fragments washing
Over my soul
Illuminating my mind
So that I know you perfectly
As you know me
Creating a vision of futures
Unbounded

Where do you find this love
In a book of photographs
Or stored on a shelf
In the movies
or as stars fixed in space
In some cosmic dream
Or maybe on your lover’s face

And who loves you now
Who is it that you love

In your world and in mine
These two questions play
They dance in our peripheral vision
And haunt our hearts continually
Taunting as ghosts
As demons
As monsters of the mind
We try to keep them at bay
At arms length
While we find things or people
To occupy our attention
But we can’t ignore them
For they still remain a bane
Upon our souls

Who loves you now
Who do you love

Relentless these questions
That matter so much
Always there as perpetual flowers
In a window by our bed
Perched in the wings, they wait
To take the stage as spoken poetry
That brings joy or tears
Depending on their delivery
And the questions and answers
They present

And when you lay in bed at night
Or in the early morning glow
After you have touched
Your fantasies and released them
Into waves of pleasure
Between memories
Wet with desires
Pulsing through veins
Making hearts race faster
Pumping amazing energy
Into your brain
Until you feel the earth shake
Beneath your bed
And you tremble so deliciously
In your visions
Leaving your fingers
Slippery sweet like honey
And you are so satisfied
In that moment
When you are laying there afterwards
Looking up to the ceiling
What do you see
Where is your hope
Your point of true self
That inner most thought
Of true love
Do you have it
Do you feel it
Is it present in your world
Or is it missing
And who receives it
Who is privy to this thought
And who will give as much in return
The answer is someone
You may or may not know
You may not have met her yet
You may never know the answer
Or you already know them
And are afraid
To speak his name

And when you lay in bed
Looking at the ceiling
Do you know yourself for sure
Who is the one who protects you
And do you feel protected
Or are you always alone
And self sufficiant
Are you guided by a man
Or do you have to guide him
Do you feel you have
To prove yourself to the world
To be respected and understood
Or to be taken seriously
Does our past force us
To pursue careers that
In the long run mean nothing
As we try so hard to gain the respect
Of people who truly don’t care about us
Who placate for gain and string along
With hollow compliments
Who will say anything for your sex
Too many questions
So few answers

Take my hand and I will lead you
As someone whom you can lean on
As a rock that is not moved
Not shifting on sands of indecision
No fear
No doubt
Together
Facing the challenges of life
Head on
Take my hand and I will guide
To where true love resides
Where you are free to fly
To be yourself

For the gift of freedom
Keeps you grounded by my side
Where your every question
Is answered as you answer mine
As I speak into your heart
With these words of pure love
Your mind imagines and perceives
This truth
This passion
Overwhelming
As it may seem
For it prevails
And becomes a longing
That will someday
Be satisfied
