And I foolishly believed

Winking as you killed my dreams

While choking on the blade

Now here I am enveloped in
The shame of love exposed
As darkness drapes my scarring skin
A poor excuse for clothes

Slippery thoughts behind green eyes
Become as black as tar
Longing for your tender lies
While counting pain as stars

My skin has vanished from my bones
As memory draws a miss
With nights as torture on my own
Still clinging to your kiss

The answers are all void of facts
As questions are in vain
My body flows as oil so slowly
Oozing down a drain

Becoming one with nothing
As a hole that sucks all light
Slipping out of consciousness
And melting into night
